SASQUATCH!!! No I don’t mean the legendary animal (not legendary, he’s totes real). I mean one of Washington’s biggest concerts. We were able to make a deal with the company that runs Sasquatch and establish ourselves as vendor. The festival was adapting to pop culture and adding food trucks so this was a new experience for both of us. We were so excited to close this deal!
You want more good news? Ok! We signed a deal with the City of Seattle that gave rights to be able to park at a park in Seattle. It would only be us and we had all rights to it!
At this point, it seemed as if things were too good to be true…
So with everything looking as if the clouds were blowing away, I decided to take a huge risk. I quit my job as being Marketing Manager at Himalayan Corporation. I knew that it was risky, but I’m young and don’t have too much to lose. Don’t get me wrong, I was scared. But I was also excited. This was my chance to do everything I wanted to. It was a big step in my life. So with that, it was goodbye 9-5 life and hello startup life!
We then had a few weeks to breath and get our composure together. Then on May 20th, 2017, Cam got married. Obviously for such a big day, both he and I would be busy. But we also accidently booked a catering event for the same day. Luckily Cam didn’t invite Brian to the wedding because they didn’t know each other beforehand so Brian was free. Brian was able to go to it and of course it would be difficult to work by himself so he was able get a friend to work with him.
Right after crying during my Best Man speech, I checked my messages to see how the event went and Brian killed it! It was a super profitable day! The wedding and a profitable day of work – oh happy day!
